Pintupi Homelands Health Service Aboriginal Corporation (PHHSAC) is the current Primary Health Service in Walungurru (Kintore) Community, operating since 1985. PHHSAC is the most remote medical practice in Australia. The practice is located in the Great Western Desert 540 kilometres west of Alice Springs aiming to deliver a consistent high quality culturally appropriate Primary Health Care (PHC), Aged Care Services, School Nutrition Program and Social and Emotional Wellbeing Program to its Indigenous clients.
Pintupi Homelands Health Service has a strong relationship with the Aboriginal &Torres Strait Islander people in the community – Agnanu, Pintupi people. PHHS currently has 32 employees where 9 of them are Indigenous and 23 are non-indigenous staff.
The organisation is clinically compliant on RACGP Standards accredited through the Australian General Practice Limited and also organisationally compliant on ISO 9001:2015 Standards accredited through SAI Global.
